Freedom From Beliefs
The goal of this blog and my other blog, http://nolabelsnolies.com is to provide freedom from beliefs and emotions. This series of articles exposes beliefs (or lies) of all kinds–prejudices; beliefs about ourselves, others, and our world. It exposes beliefs about health, wealth, and of course, religion. Many beliefs are so common and so universal that our mind has labeled them as true. Every time we think these beliefs, we feel bad. We feel limited. We wish it was not that way, but we are sure it is.
So in these articles, we look at many collective and popular beliefs. We examine them more closely so we can see why they are false. There is a reason that we want freedom from beliefs; they limit our life and make us miserable because they are false. It is much easier to let something go when you realize it is false. It is much easier to let go when you realize that doing so is not going to harm another or yourself. It is much easier to let go when you realize that doing so will get you closer to your desire to live a free life. That is the purpose of these articles. I want to make it easier for you.
Often in my own initiation work on letting go, it would take me months to get rid of one beliefs. I didn’t trust my emotions yet since I was conditioned not to. After I did the research and saw the harm the belief was actually causing, I was more trusting in the process of letting go. I could do it. So I’m saving you time by doing that for you. I’ve done the research and demonstrate why you want freedom from beliefs; now you just have to let them go.
Bobby's Little Mistake Five-year-old Bobby is just learning to read. He speaks the word bead when he should have said bed. Bobby’s father tells him that he is stupid. Bobby’s father chuckles as he utters his words, thinking he is just kidding around. But Bobby doesn’t notice the chuckle; he…
Belief or Truth? My life did a U-turn the day that I noticed the word belief contains the word “lie” within it. I’m sure people notice that all the time and consider it coincidental. I didn’t. In fact, I felt that it was an important clue to the truth left…
The Big Question One of the most common questions that I receive is this: "I get so emotional around my partner, lover, friend, or parents, how do I know if the emotions I feel belong to me or belong to them?" This issue is one of the biggest traps that…
Law of Attraction or Law of Cause and Effect? The law of attraction has been in vogue for a long time. People have been reciting their mantras and saying their affirmations hoping to attract money, fame, and love for centuries. Even televangelists are now singing the praises of the law…
Stupid Beliefs Beautiful flowers on your bed, crystal clear blue water, and a fresh cool breeze….for most this spells paradise. We all hope that nothing could possibly upset us while vacationing in such a Garden of Eden. Not so for Kim Kardashian. Kim reminded us in a recent episode of…
Michelangelo's First Love Michelangelo is best known for his incredible frescos in the Sistine Chapel. But he didn't enjoy painting. He really didn't want to do the chapel ceiling. He was coaxed into it, and he sometimes complained and felt resentful. His body took a pounding due to the strange…
Yesterday, I went to a comedy workshop held by Jimmy Ouyang (Funny Asian Dude) and Will C near my home in San Diego. They spent the day giving their advice and coaching to those of us who are learning and perfecting the art of comedy. And it was a wonderful…
By Cathy Eck To let go of any belief, you don’t have to do anything. You just have to recognize that it is a belief, not the truth. At one time in my life, I would desperately pray to God, “Just tell me what to let go, and I’ll…
When I do presentations about ancient mythology, people often find the stories quite comical. They chuckle when I say that people in ancient times treated these stories as the truth. They can't believe that the great minds of ancient Greece, like Plato and Socrates, treated Zeus and Athena as real.…
I was raised that hard work is a virtue. I was even told that it was required because Eve couldn't control her appetite and ate that damn apple. But the new generations are challenging the myth of hard work. And it is about time. The Savage Chickens cartoon above reminded…
