Esoteric Wisdom
Much of my decoding of the mind and the illusion came from my understanding of what is often referred to as esoteric wisdom. This is wisdom that is understood by viewing stories and events from an unusual perspective, which I refer to as the mental perspective. Most people see life from a very physical perspective. In the ancient world, this was referred to as being mortal or asleep. It causes you to be confused and to not understand why things happen as they do. Einstein referred to this clear perception when he said that you can’t solve problems at the level in which they were created. At the mental level, our esoteric wisdom kicks in. We see solutions; often we no longer even see the problem.
You can’t learn to perceive life at the mental level, but by letting go of beliefs, it happens naturally. It is the effect of a free mind, and we all most certainly enter life with such a perspective. This is why young children often say very wise things. That goes away after religion and schooling enter their mind. We think we are getting smarter and more spiritual with education and religion, but we aren’t. We are actually covering up our innate esoteric wisdom with vastly inferior knowledge. This is also referred to as the fall.
What I teach is reversing the fall. It is how we get back to where we were initially at birth; thus it is also called the second birth.

By Cathy Eck Freedom Versus Enlightenment One of my most popular posts is the Ten Signs of Spiritual Awakening. Many people resonate with that post. It actually represents the signs that we experience when we've found or are finding the enlightened point of view. Enlightenment means that we see…
The difference between initiation and the occult is how emotions are used. Emotions were once our navigation system; they kept us safe and on our path. But then the occultists invented a new story and a new way of creating. They left us dazzled and confused while they got all the money and toys for themselves.
The Sons of God The most popular record of the Sons of God who mated with the daughters of men is found in the Old Testament of the Bible. Few people realize that this theme is ancient and is found in mythology and legends all over the world. An…
Cathy Eck This post is in response to a request that I got to post the ending to "The Legend." I know I have it posted somewhere on this blog, but I can't remember where it is. So here it is again (at the end of this post). While I…
By Cathy Eck The Initiation Story The movie, "Life of Pi," is a perfectly crafted initiation story. As a young child, Pi grows up in a zoo. One day, he pays a visit to the Bengal tiger's cage. He reaches into the cage and holds out a piece of…
By Cathy Eck This article is meant for you to determine if you might be ready for something which was once called initiation. Initiation is not the same as walking a spiritual path, improving our mind, releasing our emotions, enlightenment, or ascension. So read carefully; you might discover that you thought…
By Cathy Eck Butterfly Symbolism On August 7th of 2009, a gigantic crop circle appeared in the Netherlands near a small town called Goes. The crop circle was 530 meters by 450 meters. The symmetry and perfection of the butterfly was amazing, as if to say, "Let the hoaxers try…
By Cathy Eck What Do I Value Most In Life? Ask yourself, “What do I value most in my life?” You might get an answer right away, or your mind might go blank. You might get superficial answers like your car, sex, or pizza. You might think you value…
By Cathy Eck The Huna Golden Rule The ancient Hawaiian Hunas had a powerful version of the Golden Rule: “What you think you do to others, you actually do to yourself.” It is a powerful way of thinking. In fact, when we follow this Golden Rule, we start to…
